Sunland Construction acquires MB Construction Services
In November 2005, Sunland Construction broadened its footprint by acquiring MB Construction Services, Inc. of Parachute, Colorado. MB Construction Services utilizes an extensive fleet of earth moving machines, together with related equipment, to provide well site construction and related services to exploration and production companies operating in the Piceance Basin of western Colorado and the Uintah Basin of eastern Utah. These services include constructing of access roads, drilling pads, preforming rehabs of previously drilled pads, and providing around-the-clock support services to its customers.
The company will be an affiliate of Sunland and continue to operate under the name MB Construction Services. The people of Sunland and MB Construction Services are very excited about the acquisition and are working diligently to develop the best strategy in order for Sunland and MB to implement their combined services in the Rocky Mountain and West Coast regions.
As of June 2005, Sunland Construction is pleased to announce that it has officially expanded its operations into the Electrical and Instrumentation business through the acquisition of Buffalo Gap Instrumentation and Electrical Co., Inc. Located in Buffalo Gap, TX, Buffalo Gap I&E performs industrial and commercial electrical construction work. Buffalo Gap I & E's Industrial Division provides electrical and instrumentation installations for the oil and gas industry, refineries, chemical plants, utility plants, power plants, storage and loading facilities, and the manufacturing industry. Buffalo Gap I & E's Commercial Division provides electrical installations primarily for commercial projects, schools, military bases and government projects.
Buffalo Gap will continue to operate as a separate company retaining their proud name. Sunland and Buffalo Gap will work together to find the best strategies, methods and processes to improve our businesses and opportunities for the future.
